The initiative won't move forward to a formal Commission review. But partial support still matters — it demonstrates public demand, strengthens future advocacy efforts, and helps build momentum for equal access to cancer trials across Europe, even outside the formal ECI process.

My Trial, My Future is organized by a committee of 7 verified EU citizens residing in 7 different member states, as required by European Citizens' Initiative rules. Our organizers, plans, and contact details are all published on this site, and the initiative will be officially registered with the European Commission, appearing on their public ECI register.

Cancer affects nearly every family in Europe and crosses every political and social line. It's also an area where the EU has already begun building infrastructure — like the Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres — making it a realistic, achievable starting point for a binding commitment to equal access.

Registration review typically takes the Commission 2 months. Once registered, organizers have 12 months to collect signatures. After reaching 1 million signatures across at least 7 countries, the Commission has up to 6 months to formally respond, deciding whether to act on the proposal and explaining its reasoning either way.
